Welcome to Tetsu "Tex" Toyo's website "TexBox"!
Hello there, my name is Tetsu "Tex" Toyo. ( When I stayed in Australia, Aussie friends called me "Tex". It comes from my first name Tetsu.)I am a schoolteacher for special education (school education for handicapped kids) in Chiba Japan and weekend euphonium/Trombone player in my town band and euph/tuba ensemble "Chi-Bari'n Tu".
I stayed for 10 months at Deniliquin, NSW Australia as a exchange Japanese teacher in 1997-1998. After that, I've been to the USA to have concerts and peace movements with famous Okinawan musician Shokichi Kina as a EISA dancer.( Eisa is an okinawan traditional Drum dance.) We named the tour "The White Ship of Peace".
We traveled around and we had many peace concerts from San Francisco to New York. We visit many Indian nations too. I still carry the Peacemaker's spirit from Iroquois Onondaga Nation (An American indian's nation).I left Okinawan dance years ago but I express myself in music with Euphonium. I bought brand new Suiss made Willson TA2900 Euphonium (Dr.Brian Bowman tested) in the end of February 2005.
I am playing beautiful songs in the world with my Willson euphonium for world peace.
