Here are descriptions about several Japanese archeological
and historical arts/artifacts.
Dotaku
Dotaku is a type of ancient artifacts made
in the Yayoi Era, about 1600 years ago.
Several Dotaku are unearthed from archeological sites
in the blonze culture sphere.
It is bell-like shaped, made of bronze.
It is estimated that people in those day used the artifacts
for some riligious purpose, but its exact nature is still unknown.
A famous manga writer Moroboshi Daijiro presumed
a ancient miraculous power in it and wrote a series of manga strips.

It has some spiritual relations with animism religions in ancient Japan.
Its purpose would be something like restore the harmony with nature,

Shosoin
Shoso-in is the treasury of the emperor,
located in the site of Horyuji temple, Nara .
It was built in 8th century, the Nara era.
In it are a number of secret heirloom treasures of the imperial house,
including furniture, stationery, incense, clothes, music instruments,
books, documents, calligraphy, weapons and games(go).
The treasury itself, which consists of three buildings, is also known well
for its beautiful azekura style
.
