Yoshimi Tanikawa Kanagawa, Japan
1947: Yoshimi Tanikawa was born in Saga Pref. in Kyushu.
1965: Holds the 1st and 2nd solo exhibitions.
1966: Joins Japan Art World. Starts submitting his artworks
to the Independants Exhibitions.
1967: Admitted to Japan Democratic Art Institute as an initial year student.
1970: Submits his artworks to Keihin Realism Exhibition until 1975.
1973: Submits his artworks to West Germany Nationwide Exhibition
Tour and World Youth & Students Peace & Friendship International Exhibition.
1975: Receives the 10th Kanagawa Prefecture Exhibition's Prefecture
Residents' Hall Opening Memorial Award.
1976: Appointed as Chairman of the Planning Committee of the 29th
Japan Independants Exhibition.Submits his artworks to Nationwide
Prefecture Residents' Selective Exhibition sponsored by Cultural Affairs Agency.
1978: His stone-carved work receives the 13th Kanagawa Prefecture Exhibition's
Art Burse Society Award.
1979: Selected as a candidate for the overseas study tour sponsored by
Cultural Affairs Agency.
1980: Submits copper engravings to Intergraphic Exhibition held in West Germany.
1980: Submits to the Original Illustrations Exhibition at Gallery Okada in Kyoto.
1981: Appointed as chairman of the board of review for Kanagawa Prefecture Exhibition.
1982: Holds Painterly 20th Anniversary Solo Exhibition at Atsugi Citizen Gallery.
1988: Holds Painterly 25th Anniversary Solo Exhibition at Dack Gallery in Atsugi.
Submits to Koubunnkai Exhibition at Nohonbashi.
1989: Makes a sketch tour to Italy.
1992: Makes a sketch tour to Spain.
1993: Receives Garyuzakura Japanese Painting Grand Prize Exhibition's Award of Excellence.
1997: Makes a sketch tour to Bhutan.
2001: Makes a sketch tour to Korea.
2003: Submits to Garyuzakura Japanese Painting Grand Prize Exhibition held
at Setsuko Migishi Memorial Art Museum in Aichi
